I watch way too much Television 2

I got corn removed from my leg through a very minor surgery but still it hurts and I cant walk. Before surgery, corn was so painful that i couldn’t walk at all. As a result of this, I haven’t updated my blog in a long time, so I have decided to post a draft that’s been in  my word documents for ages now. If you guys remember I wrote this post ages ago. So, here is the second half of that post… My favorite TV Couples.

Chandler and Monica aka Mondler (FRIENDS)

I know, I know when anyone says Friends the couple that pops into anyone’s head is Ross and Rachel. But for me Chandler and Monica is a tiny winy bit better. Who could have ever imagined that they both would get together? They are such an unlikely couple yet they are so perfect for each other.

Chandler: I’m sorry. You’re not easy-going, but you’re passionate, and that’s good. And when you get upset about the little things, I think that I’m pretty good about making you feel better about that. And that’s good too. So, they can say that you’re high maintenance, but its okay, because I like … maintaining you.

Chandler: Y’know what the worse part was? I got to see what my life would be like without you. It was like It’s a Wonderful Life with lap dances. Please promise that you will never leave me, that we will grow old together, and be with each other for the rest of our lives.

Monica: I promise.

Ross and Rachel (FRIENDS)

I said I like Chandler and Monica but never did I say that Ross and Rach aren’t my favorites and I don’t love them. How can they not be my favorites? They are one of the best onscreen couple I have seen and have one of the best love stories. He has been in love with her since the 9th grade, he was ready to drink fat for her and he is her lobster.

Ross: I can’t imagine my life without you.

Rach: I just figured that somewhere down the road we would be on again.

Rach: Because it is too damn hard Ross. I can’t even begin to explain to you how much I’m gonna miss you. When I think about not seeing you every day, it makes me not want to go.

Ross: I don’t wanna get over her. I don’t! I wanna be with her.

Rachel: You were worth the wait, and I don’t just mean tonight.

Rach: Ross, just so you know, with us, it’s never off the table.

Ross: Thank you for being born.

Ross: I know we’re gonna end up together!

Ross: It just felt so right! When I was holding her I never wanted to let her go.

Rach: Ok, we have tenderness, we have intimacy, we connect. Ya know, I swear, this is the best I have ever had.

Ross: I just can’t see us throwing away something we know is so damn good. Rachel, I love you so much.

Rachel: I do love you.
 Ross: I love you too, and I’m never letting you go again.
 Rachel: Okay. ‘Cause this is where I wanna be, okay? No more messing around. I don’t wanna mess this up again.

(Off the topic, I so miss this show, I want a movie or atleast a special Thanksgiving episode or something. If not I wanna know if there is Friends rehab somewhere. I have used my DVD set so much that half of them don’t work 🙁 )

Sheldon and Penny (The Big Bang Theory)

I know they aren’t a romantic couple but they are so amazing together. They are like the day and night… completely opposite, that’s why their interactions are the funniest part of the show.

Sheldon: Why are you crying?
 Penny: Because I’m stupid!
 Sheldon: That’s no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.

Sheldon: I believe you know why I’m here.
 Penny: I always figured it was to study us, discover our weaknesses, and report back to your alien overlords.

Penny: I give up, he’s impossible
 Sheldon: I can’t be impossible, I exist. I believe what you meant to say is, “I give up, he’s improbable.”

Booth and Bones aka Brennan (BONES)

She is all brain and he is all heart. She swears by rationality, logic and he by intuitions and feelings. They have nothing in common except for the most important things… they trust each other, would do anything for each other (as Booth says in one episode “Listen Bones I would die for you, I would kill for you…) and love each other. I m vouching for them to become the couple in next season atleast. They belong together.

Bones: When Booth and I first met, I didn’t believe that such a thing as love existed. I maintained that it was simply brain chemistry, but perhaps Booth is correct. Perhaps love comes first and creates the reaction. I have no tangible proof, but I’m willing to accept Booth’s premise.

Booth: When you talk to older couples who, you know, have been in love for 30 or 40 or 50 years, alright, it’s always the guy who says, “I knew.” I knew. Right from the beginning…. I’m that guy, Bones. I’m that guy. I know.

Castle and Beckett (Castle)

The new show that very quickly has become my favorite. This show has everything and it’s a perfect blend of crime, mystery, romance and humor. This is one of those rare criminal shows that manages some laugh out loud moments. To make the matters better the chemistry between the lead pair is awesome. They are hot together and also perfect for each other. They balance each other out.

Beckett: You know Castle; sometimes I forget that you have such a capacity for pure innocence in your life.
 Castle: Yeah, plus it was a great place to pickup chicks.
 Beckett: Then you open your mouth and you ruin it.

Castle: Do you believe people get what they deserve?
 Beckett: Well, if they do then I must have done something terrible to be punished with you.
 Castle: Funny.

Marshall and Lily (How I Met Your Mother)

One of the mushiest couples according to me. They so mushy mushy together that even me sometimes think it’s too much of mushy. They call each other Marshmallow and Lilypad for crying out loud. But seriously, they are sweet and cute together. They have been together for 10 years yet can’t spend a single night apart from each other.

Marshall: If I could nail a celebrity it would be Lily. She’s the star of my heart.

Marshall: “Lily, there are a million reasons why I love you. You make me laugh and you take care of me when I’m sick. You’re sweet, caring, and you even created an egg dish and named it after me… It’s called “Egg Marshall” and it’s awesome. But the main reason that I love you is that you’re my best friend, Lily. You’re the best friend I ever had.”

Lily: Marshall, I love you because you’re funny and you make me feel loved and you make me feel safe. And for our anniversary you gave me a sweatshirt that says, “Lily and Marshall: Rockin’ It Since ‘96”… but the main reason I love you, Marshall Ericksen, is you make me happy. You make me happy all the time.”

Homer and Marge Simpson

You have gotta love this dysfunctional family. You know, I always wonder why the hell did Marge fall for Homer but then I hear him say something and understand why.

Homer: Stop that. I love my wife and family. All I’m going to use this bed for is sleeping, eating, and maybe building a little fort.

Homer: You know something, folks, as ridiculous as this sounds, I would rather feel the sweet breath of my beautiful wife on the back of my neck as I sleep, than stuff dollar bills into some stranger’s G-string.

Jesse and Becky (Full House)

One of the first TV couples that I liked. Infact, Full House was my 1st ever English sitcom that I watched and loved (me not counting small wonder as I saw it in Hindi). I loved the whole show and until I watched Friends I considered Full House as my most favorite show. I loved the whole thing of the Bad boy turns into a good boy, thanks to his nieces and Becky. Jesse and Becky was a great couple. He wrote a whole song for her.

Jesse: Every time I wake up and I see you lying there next to me, I fall in love with you all over again.

Becky: aww jess, you are the king of romance

Jesse: Will you walk around the table with me?

Becky: Yes!

Leo and Piper (Charmed)

Their union was forbidden it was against the whole rules for a white lighter and witch to get married. They had to fight to be together. They then drifted apart due to circumstances but they never stopped loving each other. In the end they got back together, had kids and grew old together… can it get any better than that?

Leo-Piper, through all the tears and struggles, I always knew in my heart that we’d make it here. I promise to love and respect you from this point forward as your husband, as my wife, my lover, my friend, and my soul mate. All I am is yours.
 Piper-Leo, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was afraid that you were too good to be true, that maybe I didn’t deserve someone so pure and beautiful and loving as you are. But here we are surrounded by the people that I love the most and I feel so proud, and so blessed to be your wife. Leo, I was born to love you and I always will.

(I even liked Cole and Phoebe as a couple).

Finn and Rachel (Glee)

Glee is an amazing show isn’t? I am in love with this musical… its brilliant. The songs from the Glee are on my most played list in I-pod. The whole show is great! I can’t wait for season 2 to start. Coming to Finn and Rachel, they are good together, they are adorable and sweet. I know they will end up together just wanna see their journey.

Finn Hudson: You’re the most talented person I know. Even more than that guy at the mall who can juggle chainsaws.

Rachel: Break a leg.
 Finn: I love you.

So, I can now proudly accept the award below. Ok, before that a confession, I watch most of the shows on my computer while working, cooking or something. Just when I m free I watch them on TV. So I m not really a TV junkie but whatever!
