Top Ten Tuesday – Most Anticipated Books of 2015
Hi guys.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the blog The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For the Rest of 2015. I decided to do this meme as ‘The Most Anticipated Books of 2015’ was already there in my drafts.
So here goes –
Go Set a Watchman
How can a sequel to one of my most favorite books of all time not feature here? I never in my wildest dreams dreamt that I would read another book by Harper Lee let alone a sequel to the book To Kill a Mockingbird. This book is set up after 20 years of To Kill a Mockingbird and I can’t wait to see how my favorite characters have aged.
Release Date – July 14th 2015
Armada by Ernest Cline
Anyone who has ever read the book Ready Player One will be eagerly waiting for this book. And I am no different. It also doesn’t hurt that even if I was naïve about Ernest Cline’s awesomeness the book’s premise would have still made sure that I would pick it up. The book is a sci-fi novel with aliens in it. Yes, aliens. And it’s going to awesome.
Release Date – July 14th 2015
The Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan
The Greek Heroes is a sequel to The Greek Gods released last year. The book Greek Gods took me by surprise last year. It’s one the most entertaining and funny non-fiction mythology book I have ever read. If all the history books were written this way everyone would love history in school. I am sure that The Greek Heroes is will just as good and informative if not better.
Release Date – August 18th 2015
Liar of Dreams by Libba Bray
I have been waiting for this book ever since I put down The Diviners way back in 2013. I wanted more of Libba Bray’s hypnotic writing, more of the world, know more about the characters… in short I hated that the book had ended. I can’t wait to be drawn back into that world again.
Release Date – August 25th 2015
The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness
Patrick Ness is an author who can do no wrong in my opinion. Every book of his that I have read had me falling in love with it. I am sure that this book will not let me down. And how can it let me down when the book is about a boy who isn’t the chosen one but someone with bigger problems like finding a prom date?
Release Date – August 27th 2015.
The Hollow Boy by Jonathan Stroud
Jonathan Stroud’s is a genius. And Lockwood and Co series is one of the most underrated series. Lockwood and Co is set up in the world where kids have the ability to sense the supernatural. The series follows three amazing characters whom you can’t get enough of. If you haven’t read this series yet you are missing out on probably few of the best books ever written.
Release Date – September 15th 2015
The Marvels by Brian Selznick
Brian Selznick is a brilliant writer. He has a unique way of telling heart touching stories that blends words and illustrations in a fascinating way. The Marvels tells a story of actors’ family over 5 generations. I am hoping that this book will be as great as The Invention of Hugo Cebret.
Release Date – September 15th 2015
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
Rainbow Rowell is making my wish come true. When I was reading the book Fangirl I was more interested to read the Simon Snow and Baz bits than the real story. And now finally I will get a book focused on Simon Snow and Baz. I can’t wait to read this book.
Release Date – October 6th 2015.
The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
How can this Rick Riordan book not feature in this list. I am always waiting for a new Riordan’s book to come out. I have read every single book of his and none of disappointed me. The Sword of Summer is an all new series by him which focuses on Norse mythology. I cant wait to see Riordan take on Loki and Thor. I hope that Loki retains his sass from The Avengers movies though.
Release Date – October 6th 2015
Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith
I cant wait for this book to release. The fact that it doesn’t have a release date is killing me. Cormoran Strike series started off in a good way with Cuckoo’s Calling but the second book, The Silkworm, was one of the best mystery books I have read. With The Silkworm I felt like JK Rowling has cemented herself in crime mystery genre. Give me this book now… please.
Release Date – Unknown
PS – The posts in my drafts are piling up. I will soon be writing a wrap-up for the month of May.

Emma
Hiya Harini! I’m a new follower 🙂 I really want to read Armada too- sounds like a book I will really love 🙂 I still need to read a Rick Riordan book, I’ll get onto it at some point haha! Great choices here, particularly excited for the next book in the Cormoran Strike series 😀 Here’s my TTT if you would like to check it out 🙂 Have a great day!
Harini
Thanks Emma :). I hope that at least the release date of Cormoran Strike book is announced that way I will know that I will definitely get my dose of Strike this year. If you like fantasy and sassy charcters you will love Riordan books. His books are filled with sass and awesomeness.
Rosy @ The Review Diaries
I love your choices, we’re definitely being spoiled for awesome books this year! Very much with you on Lockwood and Co. – such an incredible series. I love all of Jonathan’s books but this series is really something else. Also can’t wait for ‘Lair of Dreams’, Libba Bray is such an incredible writer and I loved ‘The Diviner’s.
My TTT
Harini
Lockwood and Co needs more readers. I love every Stroud book I have read till date. Libba Bray is incredible. I only hate the fact that she made me wait for 2 years to read this book.
Cait @ Paper Fury
I’m so excited for SO many of these books!! Particularly Go Set A Watchman (I named my dog Atticus for goodness sakes…I NEEEEEEED this book!!) and I don’t think anyone could possibly be disappointed with The Rest of Us Just Live Here. I got to read an early copy and afjkldsad it is beyond amazing and perfect. Can Patrick Ness do no wrong?!! <3
Here’s my TTT!
Harini
Atticus… that’s what I was thinking of naming my dog too. Atticus Finch is one the best male literary character ever written. You already read it??? Now I want that book even more.
Jazz @ Jazmin Jade Reviews
I have yet to read any Patrick Ness but I have seen that book on many lists this week so I may have to pick it up. Great list 🙂

Genesis @ Latte Nights Reviews
I have only heard of Carry On and it was because of my co-blogger. I have only read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and wasn’t a big fan but I want to keep on reading her books and see if one of them captivates me. Hopefully, Carry On will be the one 🙂 I do hope you enjoy it!
My Top Ten
Harini
I have only read Fangirl too and I thought it was good book… over hyped but still good. I enjoyed Snow and Baz bits more than the the actual story. I have heard great things about all of her books.
Bunnita @ Worth Reading It?
Go Set a Watchman as to go on my tbr list. I’ll have to keep a lookout for your review. My TTT

Great list! I’m super pumped for Armada. I’m the biggest fan of Ready Player One so I can’t wait to read more by him. It’s just so exciting that he’s written another novel!
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Harini
Me too. Ready Player was a fantastic book. I hope Armada is on similar lines.
Dilontherocks
I fell off my reading wagon two months ago. 🙁 Thanks for reminding me to get back to them. 🙂
Harini
I hardly read now a days too. I am managing to read only 2 books a month. But I want to change that. I want to get back into reading like before. I managed to read between 6 to 12 books before :(.
